Moving Out - Networking Queries

Right I should be moving out in mid Nov with 1-2 other people.

We have decided that my computer will be on 24/7 and the others when they need it.

My computer will be in my bedroom, the phone line is in the lounge where the other computers will be. We will also have a 360 and PS3 as well in the lounge.

Basically I want one of my computers hard drives to act as a server for music and video files. Available 24/7 to the other computers.

I have a Speedtouch 585v6 and also a hub, along with many ethernet cables.

Basically what is the best way to accomplish what I want, all computers running XP.

Wire everything to Hub, set IP addresses on all devices (or use DHCP on router if available).

Share folders with Vids/Music.

Browse to them from other machines - troubleshoot from there.

Not really much more i can say until you come to do it.
