Hey basicaly i got a new hard drive and id like to move all my games over to this new one i installed vista on. Problem is if i move *** game files over they arnt in my programs list in the start bar and thats a pain.

Do i need to reinstall all the games again?

Thanks.

mmmm ok thanks. I shall take a look at it. Ive yet to move most my stuff over.

Also i have another rather big problem. I cannot boot from my new drive properly. I have 2 drivesr with vista on, my old one and my new one. If i change the boot order to put my new hard drive first when bootnig it claims its missing some boot file, if i put the old hard drive first. It boots up and gives me a choice where i choose which vista to load. So i can boot off my new hard drive but not if i have it as the first hard drive in the boot list.

This make sence?

Now this isn't a huge problem on its own but i want to format my old hard drive. I cant do this because then i wont be able to boot at all i suspect!

ghost copy? mmm how do i go about doing this. Thing is ya see i cannot afford to loose a lot of the data on the old drive and if i move it over to the new one and cannot boot anymore i will have to reformat both drives, loosing al *** data. I do have a third hard drive which contains some of it but is not big enough to take it all.

Mmm sounds good. And what if my pc then refuses to boot? The old hard drive contains some boot.bat or somethnig i forget the extension on it. That is why i cannot put my new hard drive as the first boot drive for some bizar reason.

My consern is that formating the old drive will remove this mystory file. preventing me from eing able to boot at all and then i will need to format again and hope on a second install it will install this mystory file. Which will mean i loose all the data i backed up on the new hard drive.

If you see my dilema now? And my old ahrd drive has bout 100gb of space left and i have over 300gb i need to keep backed up.
