ok, so guess what, i just got a phone call from a mate and IM GOING TO YANKEE DOODLE LAND IN MARCH FOR HALF A YEAR!!!!

im takeing my rig without a doubt, and thats includeing monitor, tower, mouse, keyboard, headphones and possibly a fish n chips just so i can eat proper british style in the illanois airport.

my question is, has anyone moved anything of this size over seas safely?

i have no idea where to come at this, whether i can call fed ex or something and hope to god my stuff doesnt come out the other end like a crumpled can, or get some serious hardcore briefcases and dismantale everything and place it in foam within the cases, like i was smuggling ancient glasses :)

any help would be greatly appreciated :D

ags

p.s. SO excited, finally get to own some american noob buttocks, and also the fact i get to meet my long lost gameing mate from the days back in beta L2.

You could try couriering it via FedEx I suppose, but I'm not so sure how much that would cost  .I read something similar to this before when someone took their computer to uni, on the train but when they got it back it wouldn't work  though they did take it in their suitcase! Best thing to do is try ringing up and say I want to send this, it weighs, etc etc and see what they say, though it will cost a small fortune I imagine!

I'd probably buy a cheapo PC case, put it in that, wrap it in bubble wrap and all that sort of stuff and put it in a suitcase on its own.

That way the components would more that likely be fine, and if the case gets damaged who cares.
