Hi

Basically i want to put a new 2tb hdd in my pc because the old one is only 500gb and its nearly full:( it has all my games on it from steam /ubisoft ect it does not have windows 10 on there its just for games.

Can i just copy and paste the files from the old drive to the new one ?

Also if you want to divide your games up between the drives, you can leave Steam where it is and go into the Steam Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders to add additional locations where you can install your games from Steam.

There's also a utility called 'SteamTool' which can do this for you as well.

Gives you a bit more flexibility, in that you can see what games are installed where, and move them to different drives etc.

Great if you've got an SSD with limited space for only the games you're currently playing a lot of!

you can drag the steam folder as a whole or the steamapps folder for just games into a drive with steam already installed

I don't use any special programs to move steam as that's just more work for the same result :)
