I have a REL strata sub hooked up with neutrik cable and rca cable. Need to move the sub so the cables would need to be extended to about 12 - 15 feet, is this ok or does the signal degrade over that length?

Also looking for speaker cable, don't want to spend a lot as I don't believe they make a difference sound quality wise but something a bit better than bell wire

Speaker cable: Van Damme Blue 1.5mm or 2.5mm if the lengths are longer 15m. Fisual does an equivalent in white and black (S-Flex Pro or something like).

Neutrick is just 3 core speaker cable. Apply the same principles as above.

Low level signal cable you need to be more careful with as the signal is sensitive to interference if the cable isn't shielded effectively. Interference sources are signal cable running parallel with mains cable; PC power supplies; other poorly shielded RF cables and a whole host of other RFI and EMI sources.

If your signal is clean now (no hum or strange standby / signal sensing behaviour) then just go for a longer cable rather than an extension with poorly shielded plugs. If a cheap cable causes you issues then a properly shielded cable will sort them out so long as the sub and source are in good working order.
