Moving the programs folder to another drive

Hello, I'm looking for a little advice on moving the programs folder from one hard drive to another.

I'm in the process of a new build using an ocz vertex 32gb for just windows 7 & then 2 samsung spin points for programs etc. From what I can find with trusty google is that most people have moved the user folder to another drive but can't move the programs folder.

There must be loads of people out the who have done or are planning to do the same as me by having a small ssd for OS only & move every thing else to extra drives.

Any help will be gratefully received

Programs without registry settings can just be draged and droped. Programs with registry setting will need to be reinstalled on the new drive - as far as I know.
