I just want to make sure this is all I need, I'm wanting to move over to hard line tubing.

Going into the Corsair Air 540 case.

A bit of what i've got in there,

CPU,
GPU x2
240mm Rad,
360mm Rad,
pump/res combo.

I've got this so far..

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £158.89
(includes shipping: £0.00)

looks good, but yeah do buy the extra tube. my first attempt i got through a 4 pack of tube just making mistakes. once you get the technique down then you will be fine.

I thought about 3.5m was loads, I'll get a couple more packs then!

Is there anything special I need to know when bending or putting it into the fittings?

If you are able to make straight runs by using a few distances or 90 degree adaptors, do that. I think that usually look better than a 90 degree pipe bend, but to each his own i suppose.

And also dont forget to chamfer the edges of the pipes, or you will most likely damage the o-rings in the fittings.

Personally I prefer the bends in the tubing. As you say, each to their own.

Yeah it does come with a debureruere tool thing, as i thought was a bit weird now i know why.

Pics when done thats the rule, Im so temped to go hard tubing and i personally like the "bent" tube as opposed to a fitting. when i see a case full of fittings i think its A) Ugly and B) the person cant bend tubing :D

Advice...

Well, do a good few tests first to get the feel of it, how much of the pipe you heat and to what temperature makes a big difference, for 90 degree bends for instance I found heating more length of the tube than you might think is the way to go as you need the whole bending area quite hot otherwise you get wrinkles on the inner edge. And getting the right feel for when its hot enough is difficult, it needs to be quite flexible before you even attempt bending

I used a mixture of just hand bends and ones where I used the monsoon mandrills, hand bends can look better but are less likely to go right first time, the mandrills work great but sometimes I found you almost got an impression of the mandrill on the tube so it doesn't look perfect.

I'm going to replace several of my tubes when I can be bothered as there's things I accepted when I originally did it that bug me now.

And you will almost certainly burn yourself at some point, so cold can of beer is very helpful for cooling!

Of course, I love a good ol' picture. I'm just trying to find the bits in stock.. I'm impatient, so don't really wanna wait!

I also am waiting on hearing back about a case so don't know if i'll need more or less fittings and how I want to run it, so I think i'm going to hold off ordering it for the time being.

Okay thanks, i'll come back to this when I start.

I've just ordered 3 packs of tubing and the 10 pack of fittings. Will wait for the other bits to come in stock and see how it goes from there.
