moving to israel

Your historical knowledge is awesome, you must be glad to live in the UK where that's never happened!

I was in born in England its different than moving, and I'm pretty sure here in Sussex we don't destroy peoples homes and make them refugees anymore...

I doubt I'd move there as it's not an area that holds any particular attraction for me to live in, I've got no ties to the area that I'm aware of and no real idea of how I'd make a living there given I don't speak the language. I'm also not overly fond of the heat so there'd have to be some rather compelling reason for me to actively choose to live anywhere hotter than here.

It's not the threat of terrorism that would put me off, I live in London and that's probably at least as much of a place at risk.

I once caused a bomb scare in Tel Aviv when I was 7. My dad asked me to hold his brand new video camera, which I then promptly left at the entrance of the hotel... the building was subsequently evacuated! :(

Nope, I'd sell it. Even if the politics in that area was all happy, carefree and bunnies I wouldn't, I just have no interest in living out there.

I wouldn't worry about the language as although not one of the official languages, English is the most widely spoken one and even the TV is in English most of the time.

You would have a harder time if you couldn't speak English tbh.

Ok, fair enough then thanks. I guess I'll just use the other reasons as to why I wouldn't want to move there particularly. I've got nothing against the idea of visiting as such but there's a number of other destinations that feature much higher up my list of places to go to.

Would you move to Israel if you inherited a very nice apartment in Tel Aviv mortgage free, and you were eligible for Israeli citizenship? Or would you be too scared of bombs and the like?

If there was a decent job waiting for me over there, yes.
