Hey all :D

Here's what I'm currently working with:
  • Case: Silverstone Raven RV02 LE White
  • Mobo: Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 ATX
  • CPU: i5 2500k @ 4ghz with Corsair H50 AIO
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
  • GPU: Gigabyte 970 GTX G1
  • SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB
My main objective is to just switch to a smaller case (Corsair Air 240), I'm happy with the overall performance and don't really want to upgrade the CPU and RAM.

Option 1:
Sell my mobo (~£50) and get an older ITX/MATX board - having trouble finding a Z68/Z75/Z77 one if anyone can recommend one?
Total spend ~£0

Option 2:
Sell my 2500k, mobo and ram for ~£200 and buy:
  • Intel i5-4690K - £168
  • Asus Z97I-PLUS - £120
  • Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) PC2400 CL11 - £70
Total spend ~£158
Thanks.

You can get much cheaper ITX motherboards than the Asus Z97. And that Corsair is quite a large case. Have you considered something much smaller, like the Cougar QBX or one of the Silverstone Sugo series?
