I'll be moving to my new place in a fortnight and my current supplier, nPower is having countless of problems their end and I'm having issue with them charging me almost a meter cycle over a span of 4 weeks (long story, still going through complaints)

Needless to say, I am going to end my accounts with them and not transfer it to the new place. My question is, which dual fuel company should I start off with, without knowing the average consumption, it makes it tricky to compare on websites.

I am moving from a 2 bed semi to a 3 bed mid terrace town house, 3-4 year old new build so it has solar panels to heat water and energy saving insulation.

Its current supplier is British Gas, but from previous experience, they tend to overestimate, thus over charge on monthly direct debit despite frequent meter reading. My last place with BG ran up a £350 black after winter billing on my account and had to chase 8 weeks for it back when I left them. So not left a good impression.

What would you do in my situation?

After looking around and putting in figures similar to my curent with a little more on Gas - it's a bigger house, despite additional insulation and solar, just to be sure. EDF Blue Energy seem to be the one to go for, no tie down and price promise...

Anyone with EDF got an opinion on them? Sounds like they're fairly good price wise and service. I did see a cheaper price company call Spark, a quick google dropped them off the list beyond oblivion.
