I've managed to get hold of a second hand Mac Pro (2007 model) and I've been thinking about finally making the shift from Windows to Mac as I needed to rebuild/upgrade my main computer anyway. I've used OS X at work a bit and I'd say I'm relatively comfortable with it - it's a bit different but you soon get used to it.
The question I have that's preventing me from making the leap is my games. I wouldn't say I play a lot of games but I do quite like a bit of Company of Heroes and Left 4 Dead 2 now and again. My question really is how good is Parallels for visualising games? Obviously I'm not talking about a MacBook and visualising it on there, I've got a lot more horsepower available to me and I'll put my ATI 4870 into my Mac Pro too, so I should have plenty of RAM, graphics power and processing power. Has anyone had any experience playing "proper" games virtually using Parallels? Is the performance acceptable?
If I had to, obviously I could just boot-camp it and have no problem at all but I would prefer the convenience of having everything in one operating system.
