Hello!

I am considering moving to Plusnet, on their 76Mb package, as BT are taking the piddle with their price increases, and Plusnet have a rather awesome deal on at the moment :)

I have read that the Plusnet router/ modem is a bit rubbish, and given I am going to be saving a fortune with them (And getting some cashback), I figured I may as well get my own rather than use theirs.

Can anyone make any suggestions on what works well with Plusnet? I am looking for something that is stable (connection-wise), has good wireless (Due to thick walls in the house), and has some solid basic functionality - Dynamic DNS, static routing, and the like (Nothing too clever). Also looking to keep the spend down to a minimum.

Thanks!

I'm interested in recommendations myself. On my search so far I've come across the TP-LINK Archer VR900 and the NETGEAR D7000-100UKS Nighthawk.

I have no idea what chipset is inside the Plusnet modem and I never bought their router either. Openreach should have supplied you with the Huweai hg612 which works with Plusnet anyway. You can also get integrated vdsl modem/routers now like the Asus DSL68U, ZyXEL VMG8924 or Netgear D7000 I believe.

I had no idea it was a HH 5, I had been reading some pretty bad reviews of it online. Maybe they are referring to old/ outdated models
