Moving to Windows 8 advice

I currently have Windows 7 on an intel 330 180 GB SSD. If i removed my SSD and placed it into a new system and launched Windows 8 setup (booting from DVD) could I format the SSD prior to installing Windows 8 using this method?

Yes, the Win8 install will give you an option to wipe the partitions.

or just install start8 when you've got everything installed, and everythign will be good..
