Hi all,

I am about to press the buy button on a new core i7 system upgrading from my 2.5 year old E6600 @ 3.2. It will be used as a workstation only (CAD/3D/Photoshop etc) with an Nvidia 7200GS which is perfectly adequate for the job. I am not planning on overclocking the i7 system initally but may well later on. I currently have a Corsair 450w PSU - will this be man enough for the task? I also use an Akasa Zen case as it looks nice and is very quiet (2x120mm fans), will airflow be adequate? My new system will be as follows:

Core i7 920 (D0)
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5
Patriot Viper 6GB DDR3
Nvidia 7200GS
Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler
2x7200 HDs and 1xDVD writer

Thanks for any replies. Can't wait to get my hands on this new system! ;)

The Corsairs are very efficient so the 450w will be fine but you may need to review it later if you choose to overclock and add a powerful GC.

If you have a case that provides 2 x 12cm fans intake and out, then it should be fine.
