I have cable TV and fibre coming into my main room from an outside wall as per the norm. I am looking to move that room around in the near future and put the TV on an internal wall. What would be my options I assume I could get Virgin to come out but then am I right in thinking they will just run a cable across the wall?

Special Request Order used to be £75, but (within reason) they did what you wanted. That won’t include lifting floor boards or crawling about in your loft etc. so realistically unless you have put conduit in place and lifted any floorboards yourself etc. If you are doing that anyway, you may as well just run your own cable.

Virgin are not carrying out any work like that at the moment anyway and no date as to when this will resume - from their website here: https://www.virginmedia.com/help/coronavirus-update

"Where QuickStart is unavailable, we’re still installing Virgin TV boxes for new customers, but for now we won’t install any extra TV boxes to minimise our technicians’ time in customers’ homes. Customers will receive a £10 monthly bill credit until we can safely complete their order. Similarly, our technicians won’t install or move extra phone outlets, extensions or WiFi Pods, and ask customers to contact us by phone or through our online Messenger to reschedule when restrictions ease. For Hub installs or upgrades, we offering our install-it-yourself QuickStart service at no extra charge, where available. Replacement Virgin TV remotes are being sent out by post."

In my experience, you're probably better running the cable yourself anyway for what Virgin will charge. Like Avalon said, when I wanted a cable running in the loft, the guy refused point blank and I ended up having to do that part while he shoved the cables up through the ceiling.
