Moving Windows 7 License

I have a current installation of Windows 7 (Home I think, bought pre-order cheaply, full retail version).

I am intending to build a new PC with a new SSD as the OS drive, retaining my current hard drives as purely data storage.

Can I just install using my current serial key, activate etc. as long as I don't use the installation on this PC concurrently?

Or is there some sort of particular procedure I need to follow?

Yeah, will be fine. You may have to use the phone activation method but it's just typing in loads of numbers. No human interaction, even if you did have to talk to anyone just inform them your HDD died and your replacing it.
