Moving Xbox account to new Xbox One?

Hi all,

We've bought an Xbox One for our little lad for Christmas, he's got an Xbox 360 with all his games etc on it at the moment. Simple question - Tomorrow morning once Santa has been :cool:

what do I need to do to move all his stuff and Xbox Live account from the old 360 to his new console once we switch it on for the first time? Is it as straightforward as turning it on then logging into the Xbox account?

Yes, it is that simple.

Any Backwards compatible titles will be available in the “Ready to install” section of My games and apps.

It is quite a straightforward process.

You are likely going to have some mandatory updates first.

Cool, cheers. So just login to the Microsoft Xbox account then? What about saved games etc, how does that work?

Make sure you move your 360 save games to the cloud storage, they will be pulled from there on the xb1.

All you'll need to do is sign in on the new Xbox with the same Xbox live account and you'll be good to go.

Only digital titles with backwards compatibility will show, any disc based games you have from Xbox 360 will need to be inserted to play (assuming they are backwards compatible)
