Wow. mistake maybe?

New camera only does movies in MOV format. Just got home from Florida with the kids and wanna show the in laws the holiday snaps and movies. They dont like hanging round the PC whilst I open every short movie clip and then photo then the wrong movie arrrrgg .. it looks rubbish.

What i would love to do is put both photos and the many MOV files all on a DVD and show the photos in sync with the movies and vise versa. (nice little set up to impress them.

I realise i am gonna need lots of DVDs as i did 40 gigs worth of MOVs and Photos whilst away (well the kids love MIckey mouse) so am willing to put the time in to get it right.. Just need a little push in the right direction please.

PS some of the MOV clips are of the same event (i just stopped filming then restarted again so i would like to put these together as 1 seamless clip.

I realise that i am asking a lot but you boys know your stuff so look forward to hearing from you.. many many thanks.

:)

Premier Elements, Roxio Creator or Pinnacle Studio is where it's at. (if you don't min paying). Roxio Creator is quite cheap too I think.

For a good deal on Pinnacle Studio 12.

Amazon are selling the top Ultimate version cheaper than the middling version!

My gran (yes gran!!!) bought a copy only the other day!

thanks lads appreciate that.. so u rekon one of those will tick all the boxes i need ticked.. also i know this is a stupid question however there is no chance a freebee can do this is there?

Oh my days just got Pinnacle Ultimate 12.. Guess what.. You CANNOT Import MOVs.. aaarrrrggggg

Nay suggestions please (apart from i should have read the box first)

many thanks:confused:

Fear not atm, my friend was in the exact same position with wedding footage in mov format using pinnicle studio.

You want to download the free Rad video tools from Bink here.

http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm

It's a tiny app that lets you cross convert to different formats etc, hassle free.
There are so many options it looks complex, but I just hit convert to avi and it worked.

--- Pretty bad of the above posters to recommend such a poor piece of software, which does not support mov files ---
