mozilla firefox MSI (editing homepage etc)

Is there anyway to edit the firefox msi so that the homepage and internet settings are different for deployment over a network?

Don't fancy paying for the front motion thing.

The generic MSI's are free at frontmotion, but they want money to customize the MSIs.

There was a project called 'silence of the foxes' which let you customise the exe (it unpacked, modified then repackaged it)

I think I was a host for it, not sure if it's been updated for V3 support though

This was exe and not msi though

OP, how much is FrontMotion's repackaging tool? The site isn't working so I cant see. If it is inexpensive it may be worth paying instead of doing the lot manually. Though that is assuming you're deploying it across a lot of machines.

Site is working here? the packaging suite is $200

This is the one thing that lets firefox down, its inability to be administered via gpo

You dont have to pay for frontmotion, you can deploy it and use a firefox GPO to set options on a domain.
