MP3 Audiobooks

Hi Guys, I have a number of MP3 Books but they wont come up under the Audiobooks part on my IPod or IPhone, any ideas guys?

Load them onto your phone in the normal way

select the files in itunes and right click and select 'GET INFO'

at the bottom of that dialogue box put a tick in 'audiobook', where it says "Genre"

click the 'Options' tab

Change the Media Kind to 'Audio Book

Put a tick in "Remember Position" and change it to YES

Click OK

Itunes will then convert them to true audiobooks, meaing they are bookmarked even when you play other music.

thanks for that, it seem to work but now for some of the books once synced with the ipod is now showing each mp3 as a diffrent book, any ideas?

Not sure - i'll have a look later and see if i can replicate the symptoms.

Try sting the album artist to all the same and generally checking that the album etc all match. iTunes isn't particularly clever.

ive tried that and they look fine under ITunes, i click the Audio book i want and then see a list of files for that book when when syncing it shows each file as a diffrant book on the iphone or ipod :-s

You can combine them into a chaptered m4a, there's a lot of software out there to do it. I just make playlists for each book.
