Not sure which of this, the software and the music forum was best for this...
..Anyway I've started to run a dance evening locally where we play swing music. HOWEVER the problem is that for every swing tune, there are TONS of different arrangements and bands who have performed them, and hence a real variation in tempo.
So even though I think I know what I'm queueing up, it can turn out to be the right tune but WAY too fast or slow for the people currently on the floor.
I can find several different programs out there but lots of varying reviews and to be honest, without an obvious drum beat most of the time I bet a lot of the programs will struggle with swing (which is syncopated, to add to the confusion).
Are there any free or not extortionate programs out there that might be able to help me? Anyone got any experience?
