MP3 CDs - wha am i doing wrong

I'm trying to burn a few MP3 CDs for my car stereo, all fine, i cn get the files onto the disc but my stereo is saying no files found.

my old pc running win xp managed it fine with any program i tried, but on this mac it doesn't seem to work. i've tried with itunes and letting osx burn but neither work.

is there anything i need to enable or a different program i need to use?

you using the MP3 CD setting in iTunes?

or Data CD/DVD one?

Are your files encoded to AAC or MP3?

tried both mp3 cd and data cd. all the files are mp3, i checked get info and it says MPEG audio.

the same files burned using a pc worked ok.

Burning MP3's to listen to, on a stereo?

iTunes will only burn MP3s if you set the import encoder to .MP3, and the built in OS X "burn" feature only does data.

I think you may need to grab Toast, or some more-professional burning app, for this one.

I know, and in hindsight I should have re-worded my reply.

What I meant to say was...

Make sure iTunes is set to import as .MP3, or try Toast if it isn't working.
