when i ripped my CDs i was a bit lack lustre with the labelling of them all

ive now got tons of mp3s, some with only just track 3 etc..

is there any program that can help me look up album info, get covers, add tracknames etc...

ive tryed itunes and cant find any way of looking up info, and ive tryed media player, but it wont do album covers.

Tag Scanner Here. It can be a bit sluggish at times, but it does the job your asking. Altho im sure someone else knows a better one.

Foobar2000 has a fantastic tagging system built in. It's all I use now.

When I rip my CDs, though, I always make sure to use Exact Audio Copy. It's the best ripping software I've found by a long, long way, and it will automatically tag everything for you.

will any of these look the information up for you though

ive literally got hundreads of these "orphan" files, with no information on them whatsoever apart from the trackname.

Typing it all in manually is gonna take years

i need somethign that i can click "look up" and it will find the info for me and add it to the ID tags, album pic included.

What you need sir is MusicBrainz

I've tagged close to 2,000 songs on it and it gets it right almost every time.
That's awesome for the albums where I ripped the whole thing. But when I just ripped a few songs from one CD (cuz the rest stunk) then try to categorise them, it gives me errors and won't save. :(
