Hi, I currently have an iAudio U2, recently purchased from Hong Kong and must admit, it's an excellent little device (always good from Korea :D).

After having good experience with Cowon, I was looking into a new MP3 player which has a slightly larger LCD and the support for more capacity. I was looking at the Cowon D2 - this thing looks tiny and pretty impressive - it supports MMC aswell. Wonder if anyone can shed some light on this? It's around £140. - check out YouTube review here.

Any other recommendations? Not too keen on the Apple variants.

My brother has a Cowon video/music/picture player thingy, very well made and feature rich, I expect thier MP3 Players are the same. Seems like a good choice.

Yea I expected these to be of excellent build quality, just wondering if this justifies £140, is there something else which offers more at this price? Though this is very tempting.

Well I don't know if anyone is interested in a new MP3 player but here are some pictures of the new Cowon D2 I received. It's worth posting up as I'm pretty proud of this device. :)

I understand it's not considered an A-List brand in UK or Europe even. But it's probably one of the best MP3 players Asia-Wide along with the IRiver. In my opinion, the Cowons/IRivers are far superior to the Apple variants. It has an excellent touch-screen with a very vibrant display.

That looks really nice, how much was it if you dont mind me asking

That costs me £153 including delivery and a 2GB SD card. I managed to flog my iAudio U2 1GB for about £40 (considerably less than what I paid 3-4 years ago)... which aided the cost. :)

But it is pretty impressive, love the touch-screen. More impressive than the iPod - I've seen enough of those white headphone cords on the trains and everywhere. :p
