My girlfriend cant resist the tat they have on sale at the counter in petrol stations but for once the thing she's bought actually works  .

Its an FM transmitter for mp3 players and they seem to be seeling them at Texaco garages for a fiver. Had the Belkin equivalent (which this one looks identical to) and ended up getting a refund on it because it was so poor.
This £5 transmitter should be a piece of crap but shockingly its actually pretty damn good, spoken word stuff sounds great and all the music ive tried has been great as well.

So if your after one, checkout your local Texaco :) .

i bought one of xxxx from hong kong (before they were legal ;P) and it only cost me about £6 and it still works, takes 2 aaa batteries but really drains the juice out of them if you use it for long so make sure it is doesntuse too much energy.

I had no idea they could be obtained so cheaply, the belkin one cost £30 and the signal it put out really wasnt great. With this one and the same car stereo the sound is pretty good, infact for a fiver its shockingly good.
As possibly the most useless added bonus it can also give current temperature readings on the display  .

My bro got me one from Thailand, it takes either 1 AAA or it plugs into the cig lighter in the car. I use it every day going to and from work.
It's really handy when we have a gathering and we can all park our cars up and tune into it, who needs a big sound system ;)
