I want a mp3 player that will be simliar to winamp to be used in linux ubuntu.

What do any of you suggest? I want to make it so i can ALWAYS use linux because i'm fedup of windows continuelly messing up my pc.

Basically i'd like to adopt everything windows has but using linux ubuntu. Main programs like:

MS Word & office etc. But open-office is very limited it looks pretty pants to be honest.

Anyone got any other suggests?

amarok is considered very good. i use it and it does the job quite nicely :) i use vmware with office 07 because tbh it is the best by a LONG way, and yes openoffice is pants.

I've started using songbird for playing mp3's as it's quite similar to iTunes :)

I didn't want to have to install all the KDE libs to get Amarok on, altho last time I tried Amarok I didn't get on with it for some reason :(
