In September I'm off out to the USA for holidays, due to the time it takes to get there I need something to listen to!

I usually have this predicament every year when going on holiday...I need an MP3 player! There usually no expense spared and I go for the best, so whats a must buy in this department? Video would be good, sound quality must be the best and also over 30gb.

I'm willing to wait till Sep for one, so what are my choices?

Thanks guys

Guys, bumping this as I wouldn't mind purchasing something within the next month.

I want something now though that can play videos aswell so I can watch them on the plane etc.

What are my options? Archos?

To Add: It seems there is nothing new than what i bought last year, I purchased the Creative Zen Vision: M and that still is the leader in MP3 departments, shocked that the industry hasn't progressed tobe honest.

Is the Vision: M the best choice again I take it?

Thanks

TBh I don't really go for branded MP3 players. I just use cheapo generic ones that work by drag dropping your music into them. Works out cheaper and does the job fine!

MP3 player market has been quite stagnant for a long while imo, I've had my iRiver H320 for 3 years now. And it pretty much does everything that all the current mp3 players do.

It's gonna take some new developments to get me interested. iAudio are usually alright, so I might look out for the x7.

You might find the Archos 605 out in a few months, also the Cowon Iaudio Q5. I personally am holding out for the Q5, it looks sexay :D. Smaller capacity there is the iRiver Clix2 8gb that looks really good aswell.

Do any of you think an mp3 player will come out that will have DAB on it? I'm not talking about 1 gig of memory as I know you can get something similar - something like a Creative Zen Vision M with a DAB instead of FM would be nice.

The H320 is pretty basic compaired to even a Zen Vision:M and iPod video... not to mention newer Video players. Get with the times ;)

Still plays video, radio, music, pictures, txt files.

Does USBOTG which none of the above do, suits me for now.

can't fault my iaudio m3 (had an m5 before but sold it due to lack of money :( )

using the rockbox[b/] software, you can mod most mp3 players to use it, good stuff

psp for video, beats any other mp3/video player imo
