Ok firstly not sure if this is meant for Music and Box Office or this forum....

Anyway, I'm looking for an MP3 player, at least 4 or 5GB storage and HOOGE battery life. I have been on the likes of www.reviewcentre.com but there is literally too many to leaf through. I don't want an iPod because that is boring, and I've heard others have better battery life. I was looking at a Sony nw hd1, any other recommendations?

Never had an mp3 player before, this is exciting! :D

iAudio X5L has about 36 hours of battery life... Not too shabby player either. Came top of Which MP3 when they did their reviews.

just been on there site and it says this for the X5L

A super power saving circuit is used to provide a long playback time. A continuous playback of up to 14 hours is possible after a full charge. (based on the company's test environment)

Was just looking on the OcUK site and came accross the Samsung 4GB mp3 players. £145 which is within budget, anyone got one know if they are any good or not?

EDIT*

Also the Creative Zen Sleek Photo 20GB MP3 Player (MP-040-CL) looks good also, it has FM radio which would be nice, stores photos and has 20GB. 19hrs battery which sounds good too, £175, a bit more but maybe worth it?

The Rio Carbon (5/6gb various very similar versions).

Can be picked up for less than 100 quid - absolutely excellent battery life - easily 12-15 hours i find at 2/3s volume and not skipping tracks too much.

Look about for some reviews.

Looks sleek as well. Good sound quality too with decent headphones

Rubbish. Last time I tried to test the longevity of the battery life I had it playing for 12 hours solid and the indicator said it was on half life. Thats with the backlight off and not much song switching... If you fiddle with it a lot it'll obviously decrease the battery life.
