I remember this came out a while back in the US, did the Wii shop become WiiWare yet?
No it's still The Shopping Channel and Wii Software etc.
In terms of the channel, it's nothing amazing but certainly a step in the right direction in terms of getting more stuff available for download on the Wii and will also advertise it to every Wii owner currently connected via Connect24. There is 6/7 videos available to watch as well as a little game where you drag the cursor across the screen to reveal a picture.
I'd personally like to see this becoming a regular thing i.e with Galaxy, Mario Kart etc. The download was only small and they can be easily removed.

Wish it would hurry up! I'm dying for a Wii game with substance... the menus and controllers and everything is so slick, simple and smooth, it needs a good game to compliment and show off the console well. I haven't turned on the console since the day I bought one, sadly.
I agree with everyone saying that it's a step in the right direction but I'm really unimpressed with this channel.
I could just go on youtube and watch this stuff. Also everything is streamed so all your downloading from the shop are some pics.
