Anyone care to suggest a good free MP3 ripper? Need to re-rip my library in 320 and CD-Ex has decided to rip 1.5 seconds of the next track onto every track, rather annoying and so much for the "LAME tags"
For anyone using CDex, there is (or was) a discussion at HydrogenAudio comparing it with EAC.
The HA moderators are as cheerful, friendly and good-humoured as always, but if you can look past the party atmosphere there's some useful info to be found.

I never had a problem either on my laptop few years back (when I used to use MP3s) but recently when I tried all my songs crossed over and was really rather annoying...

Thanks for that, but to be honest MP3s are for my MP3 player only, I rip my CDs into FLAC for PC use I have seen a few interesting discussions on there in the past though (when I was still researching FLAC).
EDIT: Just reading that thread, I wasn't aware that CD-Ex was so poorly done D:
