MP3 Tags

Hi there,

I am after a free program that will download the song information tags based on maybe the name of the song and the artist....

I use iTunes by the way, it that means anything

Been looking in this thread (Click here), but I am unsure of which to go for, anyone used any of them

I was hoping for something that would download the tags automatically from the song name and artist. I would like it to download things like Genre, Album, Year, Track No out of No...etc..

I use "ID3-TagIT v3" which has this option,. Will search online databases based on file names of the mp3s and then tag them accordingly

Very handy. Can also do file name > ID3 tag which is good if you already have the files named properly

The search function doesn't seem to work for me, it always has an error?

I was wondering if there is anyway to do a batch tag download....so i can select all of my tracks and it download the information based on the track name and artist?

Is this possible?

I use Tag&Rename for music tagging:

Incredibly useful for getting tags from filenames, and vice versa. Shareware though unfortunately.

If you use it in conjunction with what Baddass suggested, all your tagging problems will be solved

Hi there,

I like the program suggested above, it doesn't do what I want it to do, but I am starting to believe that is impossible. The program above makes it quite easy to do it manually though.

Used to use Tag & Rename but after using ID3-Tagit I won't go back.
