I am looking for a free program to convert MP3 files to WAV but one where you can select a whole MP3 album and import it and convert it in one go. Not have to select and import a single song at a time. I did have one but lost it after swapping harddrives.

no you can do them from a cd drive or any location on your pc (the main view is of the cd drive tho)

look in the menu options

in eac its.. Tools, Decompress (can only do one subfolder at a time) just select all the files you want

in cdex, you can select a folder and all subfolders

This looks ok, came up on google quite fast, its free...

Thanks this looks like the best so far as it seems nice and easy to use.
I don't mean to be a pain but the only problem is you have to import each MP3 one at a time like I said I had a program once where you could right click and "select all" I wish I had made a back up of it.

I just googled 'Freeware mp3 to wav', it was about the 3rd link down.......

Was plenty of results though, just have another google mate.... ;)

Don't really store mp3's on the PC myself, tend to listen to the radio or play something off the network share.

Its just I have a load of MP3s but need to convert them and stick them on cds to play in the car as I don't have a fancy stero that plays MR3s and santa didn't bring me one.

cdex can do it

in the menu options as i said above..

just downloaded it to say step by step!

click Convert, Convert Compressed Audio File to WAV (or just press F12)

-make sure you configure the output folder first tho (so you know where they're going) -press F4 to do this
