.mp3's encrytped after file restore

Hi since I reformatted my SATA HDD earlier, re-installed XP Pro SP2 et al, I had all my music collection backed up in the trusty IDE IcyBox.

I come to re-instate it and some of the file names are in green, and apparently incrypted so I can't play any of them. Thats six hours of music, that I OWN!

Apparently my new username certificate isn't good enough (logged on as admin) to change the 'cryption, so how can I do it? Could I be missing a service thats needed to do it, I think it says and error code 5?

Help me get my files back... Cheers guys!

are you sure its encrypted and not a pivalegs thing?

it's possable that the files still have old privalegs.

I think this is your actuall problem, the files have a privalege problem.

ifthey are encrypted and you havent got the certicates backed up i don't think there is anyway to get them back In future i would back up to a FAT32 volume so this problem won't exist (EFS is part of the NTFS file system)
