I'm struggling to say the least :D

Been trying to get this to work right since about 6pm last night. I have a movie that's x264 and 6channel AAC in an MP4 Container.

Now I'm trying to play the movie but the sound isn't in sync with the video, This isn't a hardware problem, because when I use VLC Player the whole thing works properly and in Sync.

Now trying to get to the source of my problem, I've disabled AAC in FFDshow, Yet the sound is still playing. This leads me to believe something else is decoding my audio.

But, That may not be where my problem is anyway. Because the first 4/5 seconds of the movie when they play through FFDshow+WM11 play way too fast, and then suddenly slow to normal speed, and then obviously there are sync issues.

I've tried everything, I've uninstalled haali media splitter and reinstalled it telling it not to handle MP4's...Yet even so, Haali still does handle them. That makes little sense to me.

Whats annoying me the most is i've had this trouble in the past with MP4 and after a lot session of playing, I fixed it. In my mind I'm sure it had something to do with stopping Haali handling MP4s. But this time I dont seem to beable to make it let go.

I'm very very limited in my knowledge on how to specificy codecs, and alter settings of source codecs.

So any help would be great. I've tried the unforgivable already and used CCCP and that gives me identical issues. :(

Well I managed to fix it. Uninstalled Haali splitter and installed The directshow filter pack. which includes an MP4 Splitter which apparently works better for x264+aac in a MP4 container. I'm happy all is working perfectly now, shame about my lack of haali though, I'd gotten attached to it. Helped me through so many anime mkvs :(

Anyway added this response to my own problem for people who may have the problem in the future. :)
