mp4 editing

I'd really like to edit an mp4 file are the any free solutions. I tried avimux or something but it kept crashing and the file it created did't seem to work !

What do you want to do with it, trim it etc? I used to use ffmpeg running on a scheduled task to trim MPGs for me. Command line based, but powerful.

Or you could try FFInputDriver for VideoDub.

Did you mean video dub or virtual dub ?
