MGP - check your rearview!

PARP PARP!

The runaway farm came down the track, And he issued - Parp, parp
The runaway farm came down the track, And he issued - Parp, parp
The runaway farm came down the track, Their Oc wide and his throttle back
And he blew, blew, blew, blew, blew (the competition away :D )

Or to put it another way:
26 Borged_by_MGP 373488 (Parp!)
27 lemonman 371359
28 br 369820 (stomped)

Who is MPG

I had hoped the windowze SMP client would keep you at bay for a while, but inevitably, it looks like you are using it too :(

I don't do cleaning though so you'll have to take this cell as you find it. ;)

Dunno quite what happened, but somehow I started windoze SMP crunching anonymously and for no team. A whole 1760 points lost

I suspect it's a matter of hours before you try the eviction tactics. I've nailed planks to the cell door, but they are a bit rotten and I can't see them delaying you for long.

If the config file gets corrupted (will happen if you edit it manually with a text editor) then the client will use default values - that may help explain it :o

The deed is done - I did ask them to be gentle with you ;)

Yeah right, that'll explain why I've got the imprints of size 14s on my forehead!

Perhaps I should start a new thread entitled: Shadowscotland - Check your rearview!

Wish I could un-stomp myself a few times over, I was in the top 50 not so long ago. Shadowscotland needs to get back in here and accept the his re-stomped status.

Apart from the 1148 pointer that I'm just dumping ;)

Looks like there could be a bit of leapfrogging for a while until someone sees a clear advantage

Ooooooo! I'll see your 1100 and raise you a few WU's of my own ;)

Haven't had a good stomp/re-stomp contest in months - fold on good sir, and by your increased output I guess your smp count is up

Just so you know what you are up against:
E6600 with pathetic clock running Win SMP
Pair dual cored 2.8 Xeons server (hyperthreading off :( ) running Win SMP
Core duo lappy also running Win SMP

& if I feel really threatened, I might try a return of "the Secretaries" ;)

nice little micro farm.

Currently only running the one winSMP on this e6300
home rig is out of action untill i can get my internet access stable for more that 5 minutes :(
Rest of the farm/server is active on standard clients.

I'm very impressed with the output of these three SMP clients. The server is giving me something like 900-1100 ppd, depending on the Wu, with the lappy 600ppd + so that's quite nice

What's more it seems like the SMP is much more stable on the Xeon server than even just two normal clients were with two cores unused. I can't figure that one out, maybe the server was looking to balance the load between cores, but it just didn't have the memory, what with everything else it has to run, such as exchange, to do 4 standard clients.

Shame about your home internet though. I thought you'd be putting up a bit more of a fight :p
