MQA in the car

I got bored and thought I would try and get MQA reliably in the car, sounds pretty great!

Setup:

• 4 x Edge 6" EDST216 Coaxial speakers (not the best but didn't cost me an arm and a leg).
• Pioneer MVH-S420BT Head unit as the AMP
• nano iOne as the DAC
• Apple CCK cable + iDefender3.0
• Tidal Masters

This is setup so the Cigarette lighter is connected to the nano iOne as the power source and an iDefender3.0 in the middle so we are able to pass data through to the Nano iOne from the iPhone. RCAs from the back of the iOne into an RCA to AUX adaptor into the head unit.

I already had these bits and bobs lying around so it wasn't too much hassle to setup and I managed to hide 80% of the cables behind the unit.

interesting
- your 4g link is good enough for a reliable >1Mb/s link, or, can/do you download.
- if pioneer is like alpine, the internal essential (for me) parametric equalizer/a2d's are, best case running at 96/24 (my older one 44.1/16?) , so I'm not sure of benefit of taking highest rate streaming, you can defeat the internal a2d's but loose the equalizer.
- I keep meaning to try chromecast audio in the car, and although inferior to nano, the quality of the usb supply maybe an issue, for dac performance, so I'd contemplated a power bank. ... you'd have to keep the nano out of sight, I guess
