Well, my budget has dropped dramatically and my choice of cars has had to change! (again).

My friend use to own an MR2, which I always use to like the look of. I know what I can get with my new budget and this has just come up for sale about 10 minutes from my work place.

Can anyone give me any feedback on this?

Check the coolant system as the pipes which run front to back between the radiator and engine can fail at this sort of age and can be a costly fix (drop the fuel tank etc). Ask if it has already had them replaced :)

Make sure toyota forlife coolant has been used (ribena coloured iirc).

Got a reply back regarding this.

Yes this is true but there are no leaks at present, i have not had any work done
regarding replacement coolant pipes or radiator and there is nothing on the service history either but that doesnt go back as far
as when it was in japan. i have replaced the coolant and bled the system myself using genuine toyota coolant the can is in the back of the car and u can check the
colour in the expansion bottle when you view, i have also recently fitted a new o-ring to the bleed valve at the front of the car as the
old one had perished and was leaking.
