out of interest, what is this option on my z77a g43? can't find much info on it except for overclockers who elaborate so far as "enable it" or "make sure it's disabled". apparently it makes POST faster because it doesn't check ram or something?

help appreciated! thanks.

It is actually the switch to enable or disable memory training at boot up.

MRC boot fast enabled means no memory training, which speeds up boot yes but may mean when you change settings and leave this enabled the memory controller is not trained correctly.

Where MRC boot fast is useful is when you are on the cold. Especially with a cold bugged CPU that haults during memory training. This removes this problem and the system posts correctly.

For the most stable system leave it disabled then your CPU is more likely to train memory correctly every time.

Its the IMC of the CPU being trained to the memory you have installed. All sub timings etc.....

But you dont need to understand this your right just disable= DONE!!!
