Afternoon guys,

I bought the Mrs the iPad Mini 64GB for Christmas and last week she managed to smash the screen.

What options do I have for getting this fixed and roughly how much is it going to cost me?

Thanks.

I'd be tempted to go to apple to get it repaired. You still have a fair chunk of warranty left on it which might come in useful!

Try a repair site like this http://www.gloopy.co.uk/ipad-mini-screen-repairs/

Maybe you can send the iPad in and not have the hassle of travelling anywhere.

Get it fixed, but keep it for yourself and give her one of these instead.

Please keep images to below 1280px or post in spoiler tags as I have done for you below - Rilot

I just got mine today - it feels really weird. More like plastic than a glass screen to be honest. I am not going to drop it to test though. :D

I charge £140 for these, i'd say a moderately difficult repair. Only charge so much as £90-£100 is the part cost to myself.

Get it done properly at an Apple store. Theres little point invalidating the warranty should you get any other issues with it.

I'd sell it spares or repairs on ebay and buy a new one, might work out cheaper than getting it repaired, some people pay daft amounts for damaged stuff like this!
