Hey,

I'm looking to take the above exam soon.

Anybody got any tips? I've read that the exam is a case study based exam with quite stringent times.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Jon

Did this around a year ago. It's a change from most other MS exams as once you've clicked finish on the question - that's it there's no going back. It requires that you read everything and then answer - make notes. Lots of notes. If you're not sure of something then re-read it. Have another look at the diagrams.

It's not easy - but it's not the hardest exam you'll ever do. Make sure you have it straight in your mind though and with Microsofts lovely way of asking questions just make sure you've read them properly.

It's a ton of text to take in. I ended up, on one of the questions, reading the question first then going through the blurb which almost cost me as right at the bottom there was something that negated that answer.

Good luck!

It's not hard as long as you can read quickly as there is a lot of redundant information. I'd suggest reading the questions first before reading the text.

It's split into multiple sections so some might only have 5 questions whilst others have 10 but the length of text is the same so reading the questions first helps you pick out the relevant information.

When I did my MCSE this was the last exam I did and it was my highest mark, it genuinely shouldn't be hard if you have done the other 291,293, etc exams as it just brings them together. The standard of question was easier as well IMO, they didn't seem as ambiguous as some of the questions in the other papers.

Good luck :)

Thanks guys. I haven't done 294 yet as my book is in transit :(. However, I have been doing some practice tests and its not too bad.

Thanks for the tips. :)
