Guys, quick question, has anybody run MS Dynamics on SBS2008 in a Hyper-V environment and if so what gotchas did you come across?

Realise this is a little bit narrow so not expecting more than tumbleweed but if anybody has come across it would be interested.

Oof.

And does SBS 2008 run inside Hyper-V? I thought the Active Directory DC aspect would have a hissy fit of it; in other words - i'm not sure if its supported :)
It should run fine on standard Windows Server 2008 though - in the sense that i've had SME Exchange 07 and SQL Servers running on Hyper-V virtual machines in the past month absolutely fine and it cant be more resource intensive than those!

SBS works fine in hyper-v, the main issues I've come across are the update tree falling over when WSUS fails.

Interesting. I take it your Hyper-V host is not joined to a domain then? I was under the ruse that SBS 2008 servers cannot be installed into an network with an existing DC.

Absolutely, the hyper-v is not part of the domain - SBS acts as a dc with a couple of other images of server 2008. My only real head scratcher was the dhcp server shutting down when another dhcp server was active on the network. You only do it once and then make sure the router dhcp is disabled.

However, you can have a second dc on an sbs network.

I've got 4 sbs installed on hyper-v and 8 native (all on hp ml350). Seems ok in either way.
