Situation:
We have 1 frontend exchange server 2003 sp2 in out core network and one backend exchange 2003 server sp2 in each of our offices and the offices are connected to the core network using WAN's. All working fine in general
All servers are server 2003
Problem:
If the WAN between one of the sites goes down the exchange backend server is unable to operate and the services stop. This means that users cannot open Outlook and that the backups fail to backup the exchange mailboxes because the services are stopped.
This was solved on a number of sites by my predecessor who is no longer with us and I need to solve this for all our sites.
Any ideas on how to solve this would be welcome.
Cheers
