MS Keyoboard Wireless 3000

I have a small problem with the Microsft Wirelss Keyboard 3000 that a friend has installed.

For some reason whenever Ipress keys on the keyboard it launches programs instead.

For example - q - launches Outllook, h puts the system in standby etc.

Any ideas as how to stop this.

is there a function button along the top of the keyboard or an F mode... if so push that and see what happens. you get them on logitechs, I don't know about the 3000 specifically

Tried that with the 'F' button as suggested and nothing.

Reset keyboard into diff USB port and same problem.
Uninstalled and re-installed and same problem.

Have just installed the software from the M$ site and everything seems to be ok now.
