I know that with Retail licenses they are sold via territory.
Hence the "Not for use in...." on the back of the retail boxes.
MS will claim many reasons for this - we all know one of them is down to cost.
Is this the case with licensing (rather than retail boxes) even when you are willing to pay the highest price for a license?
I'll elaborate.
We are a UK company, have two sites (at the moment) in the UK and have a Microsoft OVS license which covers our two sites.
We also have an office in the US and numerous "Remote Workers" in the US too.
Finally we have an office in China.
Of all three of those territories, license costs in the UK are actually the most expensive.
However, for simplicity and to make sure we remain legal we want to buy all of our licenses through our UK OVS agreement, however also distribute to the US & China offices.
Does anyone know if this is possible via MS licensing?
If not - we can still get licensing in the US without too much hassle, however I've never had to deal with licensing in China before.
Has anyone here done so?
