MS Office 12

I like it, i mean its complex yeah, but it looks nice. The only thing i got annoyed with was the fact it stopped me from using the older Excel and also the Outlook that it comes with is pretty annoying :p.

The interface is a step in the right direction. When I was browsing around it for a while, I noticed that menus that previously took several clicks to access are now accessed from very logically correct places. Takes a bit of getting used to though, given that the Office UI hasn't changed since...well since the day it was first released :p
I love the right-hand pane in Outlook showing the calendar and tasks. I hate the fact that the version I used, on 2 different computers, cannot even open an email without completely crashing

i wouldn't mind a version...it looks cool from the M$ press releases i've seen and the screenshots look very apple...fancy, modern silver toolbars...

any links to these press releases mate?

Think it's great (though a bit unstable, but it is Beta 1). Beta 2 due towards the end of this month IIRC.
This is an interesting read:
My name is Jensen Harris and I'm a Lead Program Manager on the Microsoft Office "user experience" team.

It's going to be fun trying to learn the new interface that's supposed to come with it, especially if it customizes. I just hope that it doesn't proove too confusing for the average user, like some of the people I deal with on the current version.

As it's part of my job to support Office I'll be getting it on release, if work is still under core product license scheme that is.

I would imagine, like most other MS products, that you can probably tick a box somewhere to revert back to the old interface, so it doesn't prove too tricky for most users.. (I hope!)
