Ms office for Monterey on iMac

Hi all

My partner has an iMac that's a couple of years old and has the option to update the OS to Monterey.

Before she updated she was given a warning that her very old copy of Ms office would not be compatible with the new os.
She cancelled the update but I guess she will have to update eventually.

We are reluctant to pay out for office 365 but office 2021 seems pretty expensive from Microsoft as well.

Do you guys have any advice on how to handle this, what is the best value way going forward?

It'd £79 a year I think for 365, but you do get storage with OneDrive. There are also family options I too from memory.
