MS Office on Mac OS 9

Hi all, never used a mac before so keep this fairly simple for me

I have just been given an old Mac laptop with OS 9 on it, is it possible to put MS word on it, doesn't matter what version.

You probably can but you wouldn't want to.

OSX9 is old and Microsoft products for it are cack.

Have you ever seen IE 5.5 for Tiger? It sucks harder than Jenna Jameson.

Office 2001 will work.

What laptop - it might take Mac OS X which will open up myriad options.

Not an option I'm afraid, it's for a colleagues son who bought it off ebay for £50.

There are full copies for 20 from the US on that auction site. But surely someone here has some old disks lying around?

I've probably got an old copy of Office for Mac that will run on classic.

Let me see if I can dig it out.
