hi

i would like the microsoft office student and home edition but im not sure if i should wait till 2010 comes out or just get 2007 now?

is it worth the wait.

cheers

I personally hate 2007, when is 2010 slated for? If you fancy waiting 6 or 7 months to see if it is first half then it may well be worth it.

There might be an 07 > 2010 upgrade route like current new Vista purchases to Windows 7. No idea myself though.

well if 2010 beta is easy to remove and is stable perhaps i will try that until the full version is released.

is anyone using the beta as there main office program?

thanks

before downloading and installing 2010 office beta should i remove ms office powerpoint viewer 2007 and ms works?

would these programs conflict

thanks

Dump MS Works and remove the PP Viewer if you are installing fully fledged powerpoint from 2010.

well im just going to get the basic home 2010 beta with word, excel dont know if it includes powerpoint , dont know why my new pc came with the viewer if i have not got the full powerpoint program?

The viewer lets you view Power Point Presentations [ppt] files [made by someone else]. You need the full Power Point to actually create them yourself.

As for the BETA, just get the full version. It's free and from my testing pretty stable. I used it full time on one of my machines.

The installer woulnd't let me install without removing 2007 so you'll have to remove it anyway I'd think.
