MS Outlook - Deleting emails after time period

Hello all,

Is it possible to set up a function in Outlook to delete emails after a certain period of time?

I'm responsible for setting up a series of group mailboxes and they only require to retain one month of emails in this group mailbox, and I don't really fancy going in and deleting emails every month from a mass of mailboxes.

Is it possible?

Yes

This is how its done using outlook 2003 (I'm sure you could do similar using previous and later versions)


right click on your inbox
select properties
select the AutoArchive tab
select the Archive this folder using these settings:
Clean out Items older than 1 Month
select permanently delete old Items.



You could also in this area set an archive file and permanently store these emails in a file incase you ever need one of them again.
